Fast and fun little truck, however.. My wife's little brother ran it through some water and it killed the esc. It says waterproof, but should say: water resistant. I ordered the Hobbywing 1080 brushed esc to replace to the traxxas esc, because I run those in my crawlers, and I know you can submerse those in water and they just keep on going. They're also about $26 dollars cheaper than the traxxas unit. Other than that, it's a pretty cool buy =) I'll eventually put the castle 1/18 brushless system in it.
great fun little car, especially perfect for those starting out in the great hobby of RC. the Servo is a little week but stock it works just fine. Love this little think going brushless today actually
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter and I cannot wait until she peels the paper back on this bad boy! From what I've seen it looks like it will be the perfect first car for her. Can't wait to bust it out in the snow and see how it does.
My son drove this truck in a small puddle now it move move i tested the batteries they are good not sure what to do its supost to be water proof
Fast and fun, but driveshafts break too easily. There are better cars out there for the money.
Reviewers generally describe the Pink LaTrax Teton as fast, fun and well suited to beginners and children, with several buyers reporting it works well on grass and pavement. Ratings are mostly 5/5, with two lower scores. The main recurring problem is water: two reviewers report the electronics failed after the truck was driven through water or a puddle, and one notes the 'waterproof' label is better read as water resistant. One reviewer reports driveshaft breakage, and another says the steering servo is weak though adequate stock. Reviewers say it is not built for extreme use.
