Have not had a chance to finish the install yet as my stampede esc mounting plate holes do not line up with chassis. Would be helpful if product description mentioned needing ESC plate TRA3626. Found this info by looking at Traxxas website after fitment issue.

These chassis snap like twigs. As far as i know, there’s not really anything you can do about it apart from adding some glue or shoe goo to certain parts of the chassis to try an strengthen it.

Not made as well as they used to be. Traxxas is using harder plastics that shatter instead of give. Not ideal for bashing imho

What reviewers say

Three verified owners rated this black Stampede Long Comp chassis between 2 and 3 out of 5. One reviewer reported that the ESC mounting plate holes did not line up with the chassis, and noted the compatible plate is TRA3626, which they found on the Traxxas website rather than in the product description. Two reviewers said the chassis is brittle and breaks or shatters under impact rather than flexing, which they considered unsuitable for bashing. One suggested reinforcing weak points with glue or Shoe Goo. Reviews are few and consistent on durability, but the fitment issue comes from a single reviewer.

  • − Brittle plastic that snaps or shatters
  • − Poor suitability for bashing
  • − ESC plate fitment mismatch
  • − Compatible ESC plate missing from description
