The TQi Telemetry Expander 2.0 (TRA6550X) changes the game by allowing you to monitor and record real-time data from your vehicle while you drive. The Telemetry Expander accepts up to six auto-detectable sensors in addition to the three standard Traxxas sensors. There are currently three auto-detectable sensors to select from: voltage, temperature, and GPS. The Traxxas Link application automatically recognizes sensors, so setup takes only a few moments! Advanced communication bus technology allows you to connect the telemetry expander to your TSM receiver or to your High-Voltage Power Amplifier, or directly to the VXL-6s and VXL-8s electronic speed controls with optional data cables. Install the Telemetry Expander, choose your sensors, and prepare for an all-new RC driving experience!

Standard telemetry sensors use your vehicle’s gear ratio and tire size to calculate speed based on RPM. This system works well for hard surfaces, but wheelspin on loose surfaces causes inaccurate speed readings. The Telemetry Expander 2.0 with the installed GPS Module 2.0 provides the most accurate speed data possible. The Traxxas GPS Module 2.0 uses both GPS and GLONASS global positioning to deliver precise, real-time speed information via the Traxxas Link App on your TQi Radio System with Traxxas Link Wireless Module.
The GPS Module 2.0 installs easily inside the waterproof Telemetry Expander Module 2.0. The Traxxas Link App automatically recognizes the sensor with no other programming or setup required! Once the GPS module is installed, the speedometer reverts to GPS speed instead of estimating the MPH based on gearing and motor RPM. Nothing needs to be reset; just select your preferred gauge and start receiving accurate speed data through the Traxxas Link App.

Important Note: The GPS Module 2.0 (TRA6551X) and Telemetry Expander 2.0 (TRA6550X) replace the original Telemetry Expander (TRA6550) and GPS Module (TRA6551). The originals are not compatible with the 2.0 versions.

Wow! I have to disagree with the other reviewers. My first one was faulty out of the box and graciously replaced by Traxxas. On one occasion, my second one did not turn on until disconnecting and reconnecting the communication cable. The gps locks on the speedometer and is unable to be reset until the battery is disconnected. Here's the kicker...it's not accurate I've compared it to 3 different gps devices and it completely misses data. It will receive data at 45mph as the vehicles speed increases and then update at 30mph when the vehicle is almost to a stop. This was a complete and total waste of money. There is also no info available that says you don't need the mount with the e Revo 2.0 other than 1 or 2 consumer experiences. Traxxas support had me buy the mount which I did and realized I didn't need it when it arrived. More money wasted unnecessarily. Live and learn.
Great Addon. I have one on all my traxxas r/c for Telemetry on Temps's(Motor, ESC and battery) and voltage's (ESC and battery)

The expander and GPS module both fit and work perfectly.
It works great. Easy to install. It is a bit jumpy on the dash board but it is still very worth the money.
Reviewers are mixed. Several owners report that the expander and GPS module fit and work well, with one describing installation as easy and another praising telemetry for motor, ESC and battery temperatures and voltages. One 2/5 verified owner reported a faulty unit replaced under warranty, a second unit that failed to power on until the communication cable was reconnected, and a GPS speedometer that locks and needs a battery disconnect to reset.
