Traxxas TRX Pro .15 Short Crank w/ Pull-Start
About this part
To start with, the TRX Pro.15 has a 20% larger displacement than a .12 engine. It includes such high-tech features as a grooved oil-ring piston for long life, a trick machined aluminum cooling head, ball bearings, finned aluminum backplate*, and a channeled-beam connecting rod which improves oil flow. The carburetor is all new, with a larger 6mm intake and reuseable low-restriction foam air cleaners. Double O-ring seals on both the high and low-speed needles eliminate power-robbing air leaks.
The TRX Pro.15 is an incredibly rugged and long-lasting powerhouse, with its strict quality control, ABC (aluminum, brass, chrome) construction, and the toughest recoil pull starter in the business.

great little motor, i have one in a nitro sport. a little weak on the bottom end but you just cant blow one of these up! i modified the crank and sleeve and that's when it really opened up. 6 very hard gallons later and it still runs fine... but the pull start SUCKS.
Absolutely fantastic engine that is cheap to maintain. I got one of these engines in a second hand Nitro Stampede and it's still running strong. Not exactly a power house, but it's super reliable with plenty of power in any 1/10 2WD vehicle. I've also got one in a SportMaxx and it handles it ok, just don't expect any power wheelies. Only issue I've ever run into is running temps. With the fancy Traxxas blue tuned pipe at least, this engine will run around 300F plus, which is fine but vapor lock can be an issue if it flames out while up to temp. Also, do yourself a favor, skip the blistered fingers, and get the EZ start system. More stuff to go wrong but I've had bad luck with the pull start recoil spring for this engine. Kudos to Traxxas for keeping this engine on the market. 1/10 nitro is fading fast, unfortunately.
