About the 1/16 Drag Racing Car
High Performance AWD System
The UDI 1/16 RTR Electric Drag Racing Car features a full-time shaft-driven 4WD chassis with durable metal CVD driveshafts and sealed metal 4-gear differentials for superior traction and strength. Oversized ring and pinion gears use extra steel for extreme durability, while hardened 9mm steel output shafts and full ball bearings throughout the drivetrain reduce friction and maximize power transfer for smooth, high-speed performance.
Smooth Adjustable Suspension Performance
Oil-filled aluminum GTR shocks connect to progressive rocker arms to provide silky-smooth damping and stable handling during high-speed runs. Threaded aluminum shock bodies allow easy spring preload adjustment, while silicone bladders and X-ring seals prevent oil leaks, ensuring long-lasting suspension performance with independent double wishbone suspension.
Electronic Stability Control System
An integrated Electronic Stability Program (ESP) gyroscope helps maintain control by automatically correcting the vehicle’s direction when it skids or loses traction. Drivers can adjust the gyro sensitivity directly from the transmitter, while the waterproof and dustproof ESC with integrated gyro ensures reliable control and stability in a variety of driving conditions.
Complete Ready-To-Run Package
Factory assembled and ready to run out of the box, the car includes a 2.4GHz full-proportion 4-channel radio system with failsafe protection, a 7.4V 1200mAh rechargeable LiPo battery, and charger for convenient setup and up to 15 minutes of runtime. Racing tires, a wheelie bar, adjustable turnbuckles, LED headlights with three modes, and an authentic drag racing body style make it both a high-performance and visually striking RC racer.

Got both and like the brushed version better. Pro version cogs and doesn't handle the faster speed well or drift as smoothly at slower speeds. 1200mah Lion packs are meh and the first pack was no good with one bad cell. Need a real charger to see the bad voltage balance. Both versions get hot very easy and need upgraded electronics with fans, but then you lose the proprietary light function. Want to keep those just do 5 min runs and rest them a few to keep your temps down. Neither are the best beginner car options imo, but a fun cheap indoor and driveway drifter/slider with the plastic tires. 1st brushed esc fried after 5 runs. Need to goo or hi-temp hot glue the light wires up out of the box and reinforce the flimsy body inside on all 4 corners. Gyro function is junk on both and only kinda works under more than 30% throttle. Gyro turns off and doesn't even center when you let off the trigger or break. Bug is discontinued so I made my own brushed bug. This one or all will likely be discontinued. Worth the $45 brushed sale price. Not even close to worth the current $150 porsche or hatchback price. Honest thoughts from a skill level 5 driver and builder with 20+ years of experience. You'll likely spend less over time and have more fun and less problems with a little Traxxas or Arrma. Good luck.
I purchased one as an entry level RC for the wife so she could join in on the shenanigans and it turned out to be such a cool car for $60 bucks that I had to get another for myself! Obviously this is no big brand expensive RTR but if you have realistic expectations, it’s amazing. You do have to make some adjustments right out the box, but to have a brushless RC, with all metal drivetrains, oil filled shocks, and lights, it’s a deal. Yeah the gyro sucks but just turn it off and have some fun. Part of the fun is how much room there is to improve it. I could easily grab one of my more expensive much faster vehicles but this thing is easy to grab and rip in the driveway after a long day without much worry. Too bad you can’t leave a picture in the reviews. I grabbed the black version of it. A few tasteful adjustments and removal of the unnecessary wheelie bar and it’s a cool looking little muscle car.
