Tread Design
The UpGrade RC Desert Claw Pre-Mounted Tires for ARRMA® Mojave Grom™ feature a realistic scale tread with deep sipes and a densely packed lug pattern, delivering consistent grip on hard-packed dirt, smoother surfaces, and varied terrain. Alternating side lugs enhance side bite for improved cornering traction and off-camber stability. Made from a soft, durable compound with a reinforced carcass, these tires resist ballooning on 2S and 3S setups, maintaining traction at speed. Pre-mounted on strong multi-spoke wheels with optimal flex, they’re perfect for 1/18 to 1/14 scale RCs running 12mm hexes.
Compound & Construction
Made from a durable compound, these tires are extremely soft and allow for good traction through rough terrain. In combination with this soft compound these tires now feature a carcass for improved tire stability and consistency under high loads. With the addition of a design these tires balloon very little on 2S and 3S. This ensures the tires stay flatter to keep the traction high at speeds. I dont understand why you would make a model specific product that doesnt fit. The inner wheel well rub basically ruins a perfect tire. I think all they needed to do from a redesign standpoint is build in a spacer so it sits a bit further out. Idk even a few mm smaller it just doesnt make sense to manufacture a wheel for a specic model. I inclusion of spacers would maybe solve the negative aspects of this product if a redesign is too expensive.
These are slightly taller than stock and I had to trim the rear fenders. I’m running a hobby wing setup and 3s battery. They look awesome on the Mojave grom but you’ll instantly traction roll on pavement. They have a ton of grip and a chunky squared off sidewall. If you want to wheelie these are the tires for you. They’re good for speed runs because they balloon a little bit more than the stock tires.
These tires are superb, pre mounted and SUPER soft, work great on the Mojave or Typhon with mixed surface types.
While these physically bolt on they rub the body slightly on compression and that isn't the worst of it..on the blx version when they balloon they also rub the chassis and compress the rear suspension. If using on a brushed version I'm sure this isn't such an issue but I can't recommend usage on the 223's blx
