Vader Products Monkey Skid
About this part
The Vader Products Monkey Skid is made from 1/4" solid Delrin material and offers a variety of benefits and performance enhancements when compared to the stock skid. This skid is perfectly flat and does not hang below the chassis rails like the stock skid, providing increased ground clearance. It has been optimized to use Revo rod ends and pivot balls, and the links are positioned closer together for improved triangular geometry. Plus, the transmission and the rear links are moved forward for improved forward weight bias.
NOTE: This skid requires the use of custom length rear links. Links will need to be extended by .34" (8.6mm) to achieve the same wheelbase as with a stock skid.
Features:
- Flat skid does not hang below the chassis rails for increased ground clearance
- Optimized for Revo rod ends
- Links are positioned closer together for improved triangular geometry
- Transmission and rear links are moved forward for improved forward weight bias
- Compatible with SCX10 and SCX10 II RTR (AXI90047)

I liked the skid plate visually, but the quality could be better. Two screws from the four attachment points to the frame fall into the holes. Wasted money. ??????? ????? ????????? ???????????, ?? ???????? ????? ???? ? ?????. ??? ????? ?? ??????? ????? ????????? ? ???? ????????????? ? ?????????. ??? ??????????? ??????.
Huge difference verse stock skid. Can't notice the weight distribution, but my deadbolt easily glides over rocks it used to get hung up on.
Great skid more clearance than factory skid allows for additional clearance does requires longer rod ends on front links in some applications so please make a note of that if you are not familiar with this skid.
Three verified owners reviewed the Monkey Skid, all in the variant listed as Vader Products Monkey Skid. Two reviewers report clearly better clearance than the stock skid, with one saying their deadbolt glides over rocks that previously caught it. One of these notes that front links may need longer rod ends in some applications. The 3/5 reviewer liked the skid plate's appearance but reported that two of the four attachment screws do not fit the frame holes, and felt the build quality could be better. One review contained text in a non-English language that could not be interpreted and was not used. Reviews are few, so the picture is limited.
