At the heart of the Origin Classic Pro is the VFD transmission, engineered for optimal weight distribution and trail capability. Its low, forward-mounted motor position improves climbing and turning performance, enhanced further by a standard 6.5% overdrive. Internally, hardened chromoly shafts, sintered gears, and reinforced bearing plates ensure long-term durability, while the slipper eliminator maximizes power transfer. A molded extended skid plate protects the motor and maintains a clean, scale appearance.
F10 Aluminum Straight Axles & Premium Wheels
The kit includes Vanquish Products’ F10 machined aluminum straight axles, made in the USA from US-sourced aluminum for exceptional strength and precision. Featuring an integrated truss, high-caster reinforced C-hubs, and high-pinion hypoid gears, these axles deliver smooth steering and reliable drivetrain performance. I’m a big Vanquish fan and build RC cars pretty regularly. I loved putting the VRD Mullet together — the instructions were clear, organized, and made the build enjoyable. The Origin kit itself is high quality — the parts, machining, and overall design are exactly what you expect from Vanquish. But the instructions are a major letdown. They feel rushed and unrefined. There are unclear sections and inconsistencies that make the build more confusing than it needs to be. For a premium kit at this price point, the documentation should match the product quality. Vanquish makes top-tier hardware. The instructions should reflect that same standard.
Fantastic kit from top to bottom. The instructions are excellent, and the materials are absolute first-class quality. Everything goes together effortlessly. I finished mine in the box livery, and it looks incredible. My only real issue is that it turned out way too nice. Now I don't even want to take it off the shelf and run it! Highly recommended.
