Spenser Porteron Xnova Lightning 4025-1120KV Brushless Motor w/6mm Shaft (Shaft B)

Bought this motor to replace another of the same model that had terrible vibration problems, turns out both motors had poorly balanced bell housings from the factory that required some stickers to properly balance. Unacceptable level of quality control from Xnova factory on this one, looks like I'm not the only person whose received a poorly balanced motor from the factory lately. Please look into it. Otherwise great motor once it's properly balanced.

offer shmuelyVerified owneron Xnova Lightning 4025-1120KV Brushless Motor w/6mm Shaft (Shaft B)

the motor have a lot of vibrations or that it is not balanced or that the shaft is bend not sure what, but the Icon2 detect 4 time the allowed vibration for normal operation, when I run only the motor and pinion, even not the rotor head and tail very disappointed

What reviewers say

Reviewers largely praise the motor's power, efficiency, cool running and build quality, with several noting strong performance in 580-class helicopters. The main recurring problem is vibration: one reviewer reported a poorly balanced bell housing on a replacement unit, requiring balancing stickers, and a verified owner reported vibration readings four times the allowed limit when running the motor and pinion alone, suspecting imbalance or a bent shaft. One reviewer also praised the seller's service. One review came from a buyer who had not yet run the motor. Reviews do not specify whether the vibration issue affects all units.

  • + Strong power and spin-up
  • + Runs cool and efficient
  • + Good build quality
  • + Responsive under governor in 580-class helicopters
  • − Vibration from poor balance reported
  • − Possible bent shaft suspected by one owner
  • − Balance issues reported on replacement unit
