It worked great while it lasted, which was about 2 hours. I used it as steering servo on my nitro truggy, it went dead all of a sudden while on the bench, not even running. I had high expectations from this brand, but got very disappointed. I will stick to Savox, they might be loud but at least they're reliable. UPDATE: after contacting Xpert, they are sending me a new servo free of charge. Their customer service is absolutely amazing, I hope my bad experience was due to an isolated bad batch and the next one will not fail.

My son runs this servo in his b5m and it has taken the abuse of him rising up through novice racing and into expert buggy. Never a single moment of hesitation from this servo, the specs are borderline insane, and it delivers. I love the start up tone, and the fact that this servo does not snap to attention when it boots up is really nice. It does a slow and firm come to center, which is not only kind of cool, but much less violent in a cramped pit space, making you less likely to knock something over or pinch a finger when working on your car. It has the speed needed for buggy, and the muscle torque required for short course. Way quieter than my Savox, but not as quiet as my XP. Great servo for any 1/10 scale application.

Not impressed. Trim is centered on radio but servo gear train hangs up at one end of travel. Can't reliably use. And I am not going to band aid by adjusting endpoints. Going with tried and proven Savox 1256TG.

Im very disappointed with this Xpert servo, specs to impress, less than a yo in 1/10 scale 2 & 4 wheel buggies the gears or bearings are crunchy and from my previous experience with the pm-3402 servo their impossible to service. It was good while it lasted but definitely a premature ending.

I put this servo in my B6D and it has worked out great. After a year of racing (mostly crashing) it is still going strong.

What reviewers say

Reviewers are largely positive, with most praising the servo's speed, torque and quiet operation across buggies, short course trucks and touring applications. Several owners report long-term durability after months of racing. Two reviewers report failures: one servo died within about two hours on the bench, and the reviewer said the company replaced it free of charge; another reported a gear train that hung at one end of travel and a gritty, crunchy gear or bearing feel that they considered unserviceable. Reviews are mixed on the slow, firm centring behaviour, which one owner found pleasant and another did not mention. Overall, reviews broadly favour performance, with reliability concerns from a minority of owners.

  • + Fast response speed
  • + Sufficient torque for buggies and short course trucks
  • + Quiet operation
  • + Durable in long-term racing use
  • − Some units failed early or ran rough
  • − Gear train binding at one end of travel
  • − Gears or bearings reported as crunchy
  • − Difficult to service
