Over $200 for parts that should come in the $720 truggy kit. Quality is great, but being bent over is no fun when it’s me over the barrel lol.
Beautiful parts quality, but not exactly compatible with the new XT8.2, which has front "CVDs" that have a different location for the drive-pin hole than the older universals. So this conversion set only will work if you also purchase 2ea of the 355282 "universal" axles. Combine the conversion set with the front axle change and that's over #300 just to convert to a more durable aluminum front hub set for truggy. Absolutely ridiculous.
I know this is expensive but it does make the truggy more responsive in corners. It helps on power and off power steering. It gives a little more steering throw also. I would have given it 5 stars but you can only run universal drive shafts with this.
Reviewers agree the aluminum front parts are high quality and that the set improves corner response and steering throw, particularly for the XT8 truggy. Price is the main complaint, with one reviewer calling the cost excessive relative to the kit. Compatibility is the recurring problem: one verified owner reports the set does not fit the newer XT8.2 without also buying universal front axles, bringing the total well above the set's price. A 4-star reviewer notes that only universal driveshafts work with the set. Reviews are few, and the compatibility note concerns the XT8.2 variant rather than the listed XT8 variant.
