They definitely can handle the abuse!! Taken on the rocks, through deep mud, and lots of water, hold up very well! Will be picking up more in the future!
super nice! way better then the stock plastic ones
Bought 2 of these, started working with the first and bearings didn't fit at all. Paint chips off super easy, got the bearings to fit with a dremel, then the link mounts wouldn't fit. I'm over it at this point, they look terrible now, and they are pretty much useless. **Machinists special**
Great budget upgrade. They feel very well made. I didn't have to remove any paint to get bearings in. The only issue I had was that the rear shocks had to bend a little to mount up. Like the shock mounts were a little too far to the center of the axle. This cause the stock shocks to bind and not work. I was using Vanquish aluminum shock mounts so that could be the problem but I can't say for sure. Switched to Yeah Racing Desert Lizard Internal Spring Shocks today and they mount up better and work great with the axle
Perfect fit, didnt need to remove any paint for the bearings, the just needed a firm press and they went right in
Reviewers generally rate this aluminum AR44 axle housing well, with several praising the fit, the bearing installation without removing paint, and durability on rocks, mud and water. One reviewer found it a clear upgrade over stock plastic housings. A notable dissent came from a 1/5 verified owner who reported bearings not fitting, paint chipping easily, and link mounts not fitting on two units. One 4/5 reviewer reported rear shock mounts sitting too far toward the centre, causing binding with stock shocks, though they could not confirm whether their aftermarket shock mounts were the cause. All reviews refer to this same variant.
