Power wire connection was broken inside of the winch new out of the package.
Edit: Amain has made this situation right and I'm a happy guy. I was installing this into my yeah racing stinger bumper. Its difficult to get to the screws to tighten anything down but I managed to get them all started. I would have gone on to tightening the screws fully but one of the wires literally just fell off the winch motor as if it wasn't even attached. I stopped, took photos and immediately sent them into Amain. Waiting to hear back now. Knew I should have just bought the RC4WD Warn winch...
