First fan failed in less than 3 hours, second one failed in about two or three hours. Some people say the sands can run off of a 2S battery, pretty sure you can't do that. Yes they are rated for 7.2 volts but a fully charged 2S battery is well over 8 volts and it fries the fan. So if you're looking at this fan you need to run it off of your BEC at 7.2 volt or less.
Awesome replacement for the sub-par Arrma Grom stock fan. Much better cooling!
some years ago i read to break these or any fan in, i run these 6V for 30-45min. add a lil DeoxIT and trouble free, wet locations i use Corriosion X and their HD (literly can submerge almost any electrical product under water and yes it will work) Caution: WARNING!!! use and do at your own risk. And yeah, Yeah Racing Fans are good, i use others but this size for esc's works well for mine.
Reviewers are divided on this 25x25x10mm fan. One verified owner reports two units failing within about three hours and says the fan is rated for 7.2V and fried when run from a fully charged 2S battery above 8V, recommending a BEC at 7.2V or less. Another reviewer praises its cooling as a clear improvement over the stock Arrma Grom fan. A third reviewer, who uses it for ESC cooling, says it works well and describes a break-in routine at 6V. The failure reports are the main recurring concern, and only two reviews discuss cooling performance or fit in any detail.
