This is just a poorly designed tool. Sure, it fits the ball end joint, but you get no usable leverage to pop off the end. The aluminum used is so soft that the tool gets torn up by the steel ball or whatever hardware's securing it. It's a waste of money.
I bought this one to replace my previous one purchased from another Yeah Racing distributor. Honestly, there’s not much to say about this. It’s a tool that helps you to remove the ball end connectors from various brands and sizes of ball ends. Works with the various sizes I have fitted to my cars from 4.8mm to Yokomo 5.8mm. The tool is also great for threading connectors onto turnbuckles too. Just make sure you’re using a turnbuckle wrench on the turnbuckle when doing that; I’m not responsible for anyone who isn’t aware of that. One tip for anyone who buys this: check that you are making contact with the connector and are between the nut end or you’ll severely ruin this tool! *Side note: this tool is meant to be “consumed” through normal use and over time, will need to be replaced. Keep this in mind that while this tool is pretty to look at, some day you WILL need to replace it as it will no longer be able to effectively do its job. All in all, great tool and definitely one to have in your pit box, though again, is a consumable tool that will wear out and require replacing.
Super handy. Looks nice too. No more boogered up ball ends from pliers or screw drivers prying them apart.
Immediately bent. Just a piece of trash metal completely unfit for the advertised purpose.
Nice idea except it doesn't work. Wish there was a video just in case I'm being ignorant. I've tried using it several times but still get the same results. I haven't been able to pop off a single ball-cup.
Seven verified-owner reviews give mixed results, with ratings split between 5 stars (three reviews) and 1 to 2 stars (four reviews). Reviewers who rated it highly say it fits a range of ball end sizes, avoids damaging ball ends that pliers or screwdrivers would mark, and can help thread connectors onto turnbuckles when used with a turnbuckle wrench. Most low-rated reviews report that it failed to remove ball ends, offered little usable leverage, or was damaged in use. The soft aluminum was described as tearing or deforming, one unit arrived bent, and the thin ends were said to ruin easily if placed incorrectly. All reviews refer to the Blue variant.
