The Yeah Racing Traxxas TRX-4 V2 Brass Spring Retainers are direct replacements for the stock parts (TRA8264). These machined brass parts will add 5.5 grams of unsprung weight each, for improved stability. Package includes four mounts.

The machining on the parts is quite nice and has a good finish. I like that these have the slot in them to make removing them easier for servicing or changing springs, but they fit so tightly on the plastic shock ends that it may take some pliers to get them off again. This might have been a change made to prevent them from falling off though. The parts definitely look good installed on the truck.

They will fall apart right away. Plastic original part makes a “click” where it meets the shaft. This brass piece won’t, so it is only retained by the spring and will for sure be lost by any roll over of the rig. Not recommended.
