If you need a replacement for the yeah racing cups, this is it. They last a long time.
I purchased these along with the Yeah Racing steel driveshafts and they have both been amazing. The parts no longer break (My TT-02 has a 3s brushless system) and they run smoothly. While this part won’t work with the stock part, it works very well with the Yeah Racing parts.
These only work with the cvd conversion to eliminate the dog bones. I have them and they fit and work perfectly.
DO NOT BUY THESE EXPECTING THEM TO FIT! These do not work with the standard Tamiya dog bones. The cups are too small. These require dog bones with smaller heads. According to the instructions, which are not in the description on Amain here, “These parts must be used with dog bones with 5.7 mm head or use TTO 2–015 steel universal shaft for Tamiya TT02.” One star cause they seem decent quality. Minus 4 stars cause amain description said they are a perfect fit, and they do not fit.
I put these on my Peugeot bt01 306 rally car on the front along with the axle set and they work beautifully.
Reviewers are split on these steel differential cups. Several five-star reviewers report they last well, run smoothly, and fit when used with a CVD conversion (eliminating dog bones) or with Yeah Racing steel driveshafts and axle sets, including on a 3S brushless TT-02 and a Peugeot 306 rally body. Two one-star reviewers report they do not fit the standard Tamiya dog bones or the TT02-RR model, citing cups that are too small, a lack of a pin-holding hole, and a flat shaft edge that does not engage the diff gear. One of these notes the included instructions require 5.7 mm head dog bones or a TTO 2-015 universal shaft. Compatibility is the recurring point of disagreement.
