Compared to my MST gyro that comes stock with the RMX RTR, works way smoother and I love it. Works as it’s expected to work and totally recommend. Also, if you are thinking about running this gyro on a MST RMX RTR please here me out, “CHANGE YOUR SERVO!!!!” This gyro fried the stock RTR servo that comes with the car and I ended up replacing but other then that, the gyro is great!
This essentially for anyone interested in getting into RWD Drifting scene. There is no difference between this item and it’s black variant. Pro: Reasonable price Best paired with Yokomo or ReveD servo to prevent servo shake at higher sensitive Settings from beginner to expert Can be adjusted on the fly through the third channel on the radio Doesn’t have to be placed in the center of the chassis Cons: The users manual is very confusing Recommendation: Watch the YouTube video by Takahiro that explains the use of this gyro. I personal run 74% gyro gain (green) on polished concrete.
Hands down best Drift Gyro! Upgraded on my MST RMX 2.5 RTR and added the Yokomo Servo also and it’s like chalk and cheese to the factory RTR ones. Best upgrade for your Drift Car!
Made my car feel brand new. If you are running an RTR or even building a Kit this is a perfect starter even comp Gyro.
Paired this with the SP-03 D V2 servo. Unmatched by anything else in my opinion. Buttery smooth and the multiple modes make it fantastic for an entry level drifter all the way to a seasoned drifter! Oh and did I mention how sweet it looks? Probably one of the more important aspects. If you look good, you drift good! GET IT, don't hesitate!
Reviewers almost uniformly rate the Yokomo DP-302 V4 drift gyro 5/5, describing it as smooth and a clear upgrade over stock RTR gyros on MST chassis. Several recommend pairing it with a Yokomo or ReveD servo to avoid servo shake at higher sensitivity. One reviewer reports that running it with the stock MST RMX RTR servo damaged that servo, and advises replacement. Praised features include adjustable gain via a third radio channel, multiple modes, and suitability for beginners through experts. The user manual was described as confusing. Reviews refer to the red variant, and one reviewer notes it matches the black variant.
- + Smooth steering performance
