Avid RC Guardian Slim 2.2" 2WD Front Buggy Carpet Tires (2) (Red / Soft)
About this part
Tire Overview:
The Avid RC Guardian Slim 2.2" 2WD Front Buggy Carpet Tires are engineered for racers who want steering that remains predictable and consistent from run to run. Designed specifically for 2WD front buggy carpet applications, these tires settle into their ideal performance window after a single break-in session and maintain that balance without the typical falloff seen in many front tire options. The result is a planted, confidence-building front end that allows drivers to focus on racing rather than chasing setup changes.
About the Guardian Slim 2.2" Tires
Confident Handling
These tires activate their edge during the first run, transitioning from a smooth, slightly pushy feel to responsive steering that stays stable over the length of the tire life. An enlarged sidewall on one side helps calm initial turn-in and improves mid-corner stability when positioned outward. Debossed sidewall logos prevent glue cracking and avoid snagging on carpet fibers, making mounting cleaner and more reliable. A larger, tighter pin layout enhances traction while extending wear life, giving racers dependable grip without sacrificing durability. These tires are available in A3 Medium Green for high-bite tracks or A4 Soft Red for lower-bite surfaces.

Bought these in soft compound to use on severely worn carpet and they performed very well. Provided excellent grip without the mess of traction compound and the wear seems pretty decent given how soft they are. Mounted up really easily as well. I've struggled with front end grip and putting these on was a huge step forward in my setup. Highly recommended.
