Mugen Seiki MBX Clutch Springs. These replacement clutch springs are intended for the MBX 1/8 nitro platforms to allow racers to fine-tune the clutch to fit track conditions.


Effects of Clutch Spring Changes
Clutch Spring Characteristic
Softer
  • -Clutch engages earlier at lower RPM
  • -More gradual acceleration
  • -Easier to drive but not as aggressive
  • -Easier to drive on low-grip tracks
Stiffer
  • -Clutch engages later at higher RPM
  • -More sudden acceleration
  • -Car is more aggressive
  • -Engine will perform better on high-grip tracks
