These tires are great, Predator front, G8 rear. Backwoods crawling usually wet and slick, these tires will make climbs Hyrax won't make or work really hard at. There's a lot of tread on the ground in a small foot print.
great on the dry rocks and trail wet and muddy not so good on the rocks after
They perform well and very soft just like any other predator compound is. Not very good for dirt, mud or trail riding. Strictly just use for the Rocks. Not worth what proline charges for tires for a toy truck in my opinion.
I've had a set of these for about a year. Very impressed by performance on dry, hard surfaces. Horrible at trailing, wouldn't recommend for anything but rock crawling. The tread and lugs fill up too easily with dirt and don't clean out good. I run dual stage foams in rear and stock foams up front on G8 compound. Overall very happy and are some of the better tires I've owned out of dozens of other ones.
It's like having overdrive haha. I'm liking these more than my hyrax. G8 rear predator up front.
Reviewers generally praise the Trencher 1.9" tires for grip and climbing on rocks, dry hard surfaces, and wet or snowy conditions, with several noting strong traction in small footprints. The most common complaint is poor performance on trails, dirt and mud, where tread and lugs reportedly fill with dirt and clean out poorly. One reviewer found the G8 compound soft and questioned the price for a toy truck. Most reviews refer to the G8 compound variant; one reviewer specifically tested the Predator compound and found it strictly suited to rocks. Overall sentiment is positive, but reviewers agree the tire is a dedicated rock-crawling choice rather than an all-surface tire.
