I like the design of this gear, looks really cool and works well.
I've ran several of these style RD spur gears. I've noticed most are not truly round so setting the gap in pinon can be slightly tricky. It also causes them to be louder than other spurs. I haven't ruined any which I have been surprised by. Very light weight, very durable. Just the out of round and noise that feel concerning.
I bought this gear for my drag race car, the ad does not say "not for drag car use".I am running the VXL class and need a superior spur gear which they claim. With no tire prep and no track prepped surface, just an average parking lot, on second run, the gear disintegrated. I will not ask for my money back, but want to warn others not to by these gears for their drag cars. I would not even recommend them for box stock. Still learning...
Don't use with a direct drive, the M4 nut will go right through the hole in the middle. Maybe it only works with slippers? Shrug.
Four verified-owner reviews with mixed ratings (1 to 5 out of 5). The 78T variant received one positive review praising its design and performance. The 72T variant received three reviews, with two low ratings. Reviewers note the gear is light and durable, but one reports it is not truly round, making pinion gap setting tricky and causing extra noise. One reviewer reports the gear disintegrated on a drag racing run on an average parking lot surface and does not recommend it for drag use or box stock. Another reports the M4 nut passed through the centre hole when used with a direct drive, suggesting it may only suit slipper setups. Reviews are few and the variants differ, so overall performance is hard to judge.

- − Not perfectly round, complicates pinion gap
- − Louder than other spur gears
- − Failed under drag racing use
- − Centre hole too large for M4 nut with direct drive
