Phillip Enriquezon Sweep F1 EXP Pre-Mounted Front & Rear Rubber Tire Set (Black) (4) (Hard/Soft)

For asphalt tracks, you will only need the Hard Front/ Soft Rear and Medium Front/ Soft Rear. Do not use the soft fronts for asphalt as they will wear heavly after 3 runs and give lots of oversteer. Note that the medium front tire blisters very badly on the inside of the contact patch and will be toast after 5 runs. The hard front tire gives the most run time but is prone to understeer and wear out after 8 runs. Note that for asphalt, this tire combo is only suited for large tracks with fast layout under hot track conditions of 90F to 140F. Do not use this tire for conditions that are Green Tracks, Low grip conditions, small tight technical tracks or low temperature conditions of 60F to 90F as you will have zero rear grip. These tires have the same diamters/track width you would get as with gravityrc/shimizu tires. Note that for the fronts, these rims are offset to match a standard F1 190mm width, but they are much narrower. You will also need to soften your cars setup with these tires as they are much harder than traditional F1 tires based on the 13in rim in real life. This is because the tires side walls are rock hard and have little squish on them. I would not recommend these tires for racing unless they were a spec tire for the event you are using or just want to play around in free practice. Your best bet for trying them out is the Hard fronts and soft rears on asphalt

I drive at one of the best indoor black CRC carpet tracks in the country. If you want to brake parts and never have rear traction on the stickiest black carpet track in the country buy theses tires. If you want the rear tires to spin on the straight buy these tires. If you never want to see the podium and just be in everyone’s way purchase these tires. Do not buy !!

Make sure to read the sizing details carefully. I thought these would fit a 1/10 rc car but they're made for very specific cars. The tires themselves are very nice and looked like mini pro tires.

Hard front, soft rear works great at our track. Plus they look cool

I can't imagine how people are getting these to work on carpet. Have the front x-med/soft combo. and on crc black carpet...there is no rear traction. When I did manage to get a fair mid speed lap in, the car would randomly flat spin. Have run through 3 packs and even tried the scuff pad (scotch bright) thing to get the rear tires to come around...but they are plastic hard compared to an Exotek or Crc rear compound. It was hard to even get through those packs in on a practice day due to my fragile F1 car becoming an obstacle for the other drivers on track. Nothing like becoming the TCR jam car in the middle of a busy race day. Maybe the other compound (D-spec) works better on carpet (I will never know unless they are sending me a free set)? I have tried these on both an Exotek R5 & Roche evo 3. Was going to give it one star...but I am hoping they work outside on a hot day? Very disappointed and wish I could get a refund.

What reviewers say

Reviews are mixed and split by variant. Several reviewers using the EXP variant on asphalt report that the hard or medium front with soft rear works, while soft fronts wear quickly and the medium front blisters. Two reviewers on carpet, one on the V6 X-Medium/Soft combo and one on the EXP Soft/Soft, report poor rear traction and handling problems. One reviewer found the tires look good but fit only specific cars, not standard 1/10 applications. Reviews indicate performance depends heavily on track surface, temperature and layout. Wear rates reported range from about 3 to 8 runs.

  • + Good realism and appearance
  • + Hard front and soft rear works on asphalt
  • + Hard front gives longer run time
  • − Poor rear traction on carpet
  • − Soft fronts wear quickly on asphalt
  • − Medium front blisters
  • − Fit limited to specific cars
