This shock oil is pretty good. I just wish they would come up with a new bottle design!!! Twice now, while filling my shocks, the tip popped out sending oil everywhere ):-( I wasn't even squeezing it all that hard. It may sound funny, but cleaning up silicone is a pain!!
Associated oil caps are known for popping open during shipping and leaking. Has happened to me twice. The 4 stars are because Amain took care of it
i love using associated products. however, the 45 weight oil is when you will start noticing the little cap popping off and silicone EVERYWHERE! it just happened to me....... the bottle design is why its 3 stars for me
pretty bummed. i ordered this especially for the new cap nozzle design. (just like what the pic and description is advertised). i was sent the old bottle design :(
The perfect weight silicone for having the shocks copy the terrain. If you need more stiffness compensate with a stiffer spring.
Reviewers generally agree the silicone shock oil performs consistently across the many weights offered, with several praising its value and steady feel in use. The main recurring complaint concerns the bottle: multiple reviewers report the pouring cap or nozzle popping open or loosening, causing spills, and some say the oil is hard to squeeze or pour cleanly. A few report receiving the older bottle design or a cap that differed from the one pictured. One review describes the neck breaking loose on a nearly full bottle. A handful of reviewers say the new cap design is an improvement, though this is a minority view. Several reviews are short or duplicated, so the overall picture rests on a moderate number of distinct comments across weights.
